Dr. Walker is a nurse who has practiced in hospital and community-based settings in both urban and rural environments. She is also an accomplished coach and coach trainer. Dr. Walker is certified in wellness, executive, body-centered, and social-emotional intelligence coaching and provides leadership for the Health and Wellness Coaching Certification program. In addition, she is a recognized leader in the use of mobile health data for just-in-time evidence of health behavior change to improve health and wellness in businesses and organizations. Dr. Walker uses her background as a nurse educator and nurse leader to understand the intrinsic motivation of nurses to make a difference, yet find ways to take time for, and honor, one’s self!
