This course provides the certification exam contact hours for nurses who have purchased and studied the Pediatric Nursing Review and Resource Manual, 3rd Ed. Contact hours are available only for the most current edition in print.

Nursing Knowledge Center Certification Review and Resource Manuals are designed to help nurses pass the certification exams, to provide continuing education contact hours for recertification and to act as a general resource for that specialty. The purpose of this course is to increase knowledge in pediatric nursing practice and to assist nurses in successfully passing the ANCC Pediatric Nursing certification exam.

Mary Jo Gilmer, PhD, MBA, RN-BC, FAAN

Gilmer is professor of pediatrics and nursing at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and serves as the director of the Clinical Management Program and Pediatric Palliative Care Research Team at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. During her career, she has received numerous awards for her research and teaching expertise, including the National Co-Alliance for Teaching Excellence Award; Great 100, North Carolina Foundation for Nursing Award; Sigma Theta Research Award; McColl Faculty Research Award; Julia Hereford Teaching Award; and Excellence in Teaching Award from Educational Resources Inc.

Clara J. Richardson, MSN, RN-BC

Richardson is a clinical development professional at Banner Health Clinical Education. She has more than 30 years of experience designing and teaching pediatric curriculum, including serving as faculty at Purdue University for 29 years teaching pediatric nursing theory and clinical nursing. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Who’s Who Among American Teachers; Sigma Theta Tau, Delta Omicron Chapter Excellence Award and Excellence in Education Award; and Indiana University School of Nursing Academic Achievement Award.
